Use our fast and simple API by submitting your request via HTTP GET:

Shortening: http://chilp.it/api.php?url=http://www.example.com
Replace the parameter "http://www.example.com" with the URL you want to be shortened.

You will receive the answer in plain text:
http://chilp.it/847310

We do not check the parameter you enter for validity so pretty much everything you feed our API with will be shortened. If you submit a valid URL it'll work in the end. ;-)

In case you don't deliver anything at all we will respond with the "Well, no URL was entered. There's nothing to do!" error. If the URL is blocked we'll respond with "410 - Krch! Domain is blacklisted!".

If you don't receive anything the submitted parameter is not in the database.
Attention: Multiple requests in short order might trigger the rate-limiting engine.
